Have you ever thought about meeting your blog friends in person? What would it be like? Would you really have anything in common or be able to hold a conversation? Well, today I got the chance to find that out. My day began with Jes coming to my apartment straight from the airport. We had breakfast, chatted & then headed to the city for some shopping. After a very filling lunch with my good friend Mary, we hopped in a cab to Penn Station. There we met Hope. More chatting ensued, as well as more shopping & food. Then we hooked up with four more blog buddies; Giao, Yvonne, Lesley & Kathleen. What a great experience!! We did all get along & have lots to talk about. In some ways we already knew so much about each others lives without truly knowing one another. The gals will be in the city through the weekend & I"ll get to spend more time with them. I think a good time will be had by all. Who knows - maybe I"ll get to meet other blog buddies in the future.
Did you think this post was going to be about Rockstar Inxs? Well, it's not, although I love that show. It's about my cousin Matt, the rocker. His band Silversted, played their first ever NYC gig last night. I didn't know what to expect, although I know my cuz can sing because I've heard him do Karaoke. Tom & I thought they were great. Their music is really interesting & all of the band members are good musicians. Matt is such a ham that it makes him a natural frontman. So, we can now all add rockstar to his growing resume which already includes graphic artist, web designer & artist. Does talent run in my family or what?
